World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge Arouca 516 opens in Portugal

EverBest Tours > Blog > World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge Arouca 516 opens in Portugal

The pedestrian bridge Arouca 516

Open to visitors this may 2th, an extra reason to visit the  Arouca Geopark, recognized as a Geological Heritage of Humanity site, by UNESCO.

The bridge Arouca 516: close to Arouca is located the largest suspended pedestrian bridge in the world. For those immune to vertigo it’s a “must do” adventurous crossing, 150 mt above the Paiva river.

Inserted on Paiva Walkways (Passadiços do Paiva),  a course of 8 km of nature in its pure state. A journey through biology, geology, and the history of life on the planet, written in the landscape. Paiva River flows in a musical way beside us, inviting for a swim on the bathing areas of AreinhoEspiunca, or the Vau , a beach and leisure area half way. It will be an experience of a lifetime.

Want to go there? We will be glad to drive you there!
