Come to know the award-winning Paiva Walkways (Passadiços do Paiva), located on the left bank of the Paiva River, provide an 8 km “untouched” walk, surrounded by unique beauty of landscapes. A journey through biology, geology and archelogy that will remain in heart, soul and in mind of any nature lover.
You should not miss the adventurous crossing of the largest suspended pedestrian bridge in the world, the “Arouca 516” (named so due to being 516m in length), connecting Aguieiras Waterfall and Paiva Gorge.
Pick-up and drop-off points will be your hotel/accommodation, or any other previously agreed location within the city area. In general, pick-up time is between 8am and 9am. The exact time to be concerted.

Maximum duration will be 9 hours. The Driver/Guide will advise about how much time to spend in each location, but he will not be responsible for queues to enter the attractions or traffic jams that may happen along the course.

Our guided tours aim to be a unique and personal experience, supported on our expertise: we suggest an itinerary, one or two restaurants to lunch, and the most iconic monuments and attractions to visit. But, we want you to feel free to choose your favourite restaurant, your preferred monuments or attractions! We will adapt the itinerary, whenever possible, to meet your wishes.
That is why our price does not include lunch, or the tickets to visit monuments and attractions.
Notes: This attractions list is not mandatory nor exhaustive and it may be adjusted to your expectations. Besides, the itinerary may differ due to weather conditions, the time spent in each location and the guide’s criterion.
This tour is classified as Hard/Adventure. It presupposes a healthy physical condition to get to the walkways, about 3 hours through steep wooden ways and stairs. Be sure to wear proper garments and shoes.
Easy/ For all version: you may choose a “soft ride”, doing it as a panoramic tour and skipping the 8 km walkway. Yet, it may comprise some short walking routes, accessible for those with limited mobility. This “soft ride” is possible with collapsible wheelchairs, however the passenger may need someone’s assistance.
